Meet Gladys, my beloved grandmother. Gladys loved to entertain friends and embodied a fearless, sassy approach to life.
From age 94 to 99, she lived in an assisted living facility. During that time, she never lost her desire to feel beautiful; her outfit was not complete until she put on lipstick and jewelry. Clasps on necklaces were difficult, so I made her long necklaces without clasps. The necklaces weren’t expensive but the colored, faceted beads made her smile and feel special.
