Meet Gladys, Kym Motley’s beloved grandmother. Gladys loved to entertain friends and embodied a fearless, sassy approach to life.
From age 94 to 99, Gladys lived in an assisted living facility. During that time, she never lost her desire to feel beautiful and experience joy from her full life.
When Kym visited her grandmother, she met other seniors in her nursing home and it sparked the idea that we, the larger community, should stay connected to our elders and celebrate their lives and legacies.
Kym was also inspired by her experiences caregiving for her grandmother, father, and mother.
